We are ready for the first election of the executive board. The complete executive board shall be composed of nine (9) members, each with a 2-year term. The interim executive board remains for another year to ensure proper transition and six (6) new members will be elected this year.

The election will take place as follows:

  • A nominating committee composed of 5 persons will be put in place to oversee the electoral process, in particular to provide advice on the candidacies for members of the Executive Committee and proposal of the final list of candidates. If you would like to participate in the nominating committee, please let the current ISB executive board know by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • During the month of August (August 1st to the 31st), members of the ISB wishing to run for a position in the executive board should propose their candidacy to the Nominating Committee. Send a message with your intention to run as well as a short biographic sketch to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • The nominating process will end on August 31, 2009.
  • During the first two weeks of September, the Nominating committee will review the candidacies and make them available to the ISB membership.
  • The election will take place from September 15 to the 22nd through an online process (more details will soon follow).
  • We remind you that only members who have paid their registration fees by the time of the election (before September 14 to allow for processing of the payment) will be entitled to vote.

We look forward to your participation in this important event.
