The National Center for Biomedical Ontology is pleased to announce the release of BioPortal 3.0.  New features include updates to the Web
interface and Web services:

Web interface updates

Browse page now displays ontology features, e.g. size of the ontology, number of notes added to the ontology, number of projects that use the
ontology, and number of reviews of the ontology. New ontology summary details page highlights the ontology metrics, reviews, projects, and derived views of the ontology

Security Framework, part 1

Added apikey parameter to all Web services. The apikey parameter is optional until June 15, 2011, after this time the apikey parameter will be required for usage of the Web services. Login to BioPortal to get your API key.

Released a new RepeatMasker ( open-3.3.0 ) along with an updated set of repeat libraries ( RM-20110914, including most sequences up to RepBase 16.01 ).

The new release includes the following changes:
Compatable with the lastest versions of RMBlast
Updated reporting of databases used in the search
New taxonomy database imported from NCBI
Fixed error "refinelib doesn't exist" when -species option is used
Perl 5.12.2 and later deprecated the use of "defined" for hash variables

The Tenth International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB)/1st ISCB-Asia Joint Conference, InCoB/ISCB-Asia 2011 (http://www.incob2011.org ) will be held at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 30 November – 2 December 2011.

InCoB/ISCB-Asia 2011 is jointly hosted by the Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBioNet, http://www.apbionet.org/) and the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB, http://www.iscb.org). In collaboration with the International Immunomics Society (IIMMS, http://www.iimms.org/), we will also organize a joint session with the 4th Conference of Basic and Clinical Immunogenomics and Immunomics (BCII2011) on 2 Dec. 2011.

This announcement is ONLY for those who MISSED the opportunity to submit their papers in response to earlier "Call For Papers".
You are invited to submit a full paper (about 7 pages) for consideration (see instructions below). Full papers will be considered for both, oral presentation and publication in the conference proceedings as full papers. In addition, after the conference, selected authors will be asked to provide an extended version of their papers for publication consideration in research books to be published and indexed by Springer as well as by various journals.
